Non-Formal Education Center:
As we know children are very important parts of society. They are the future of Nation. Without their development we can’t expect to create a developed and civilized society. Education is the first process of development. It helps the children for their universal development. For the total literacy of community children GASSS is running Non-Formal Education for out of school going children. The majority of the children are in the age group of 3-15 years. Free books, uniform and other study materials have been provided to the children by the center. These children are also covered under supplementary nutrition, (Mid day meal) health services and recreation programmers aiming to help them to become self-reliant individuals and responsible members of the civil society.
The Non Formal Education center is very helpful to imparting literacy among community people. The center is running by trained and devoted educators from 8 am to 1 pm. Teachers provide quality of education to children for their universal development. The ratio of attendance of children is excellent. The drop out ratio is decreasing day by day. This year 14 students were registered in formal set up in govt. and private schools. The community mobilizers assist the teachers to follow up the children.
